Dziś jest dziesiąty dzień miesiąca Muharram, znany jako Aszura. W tym dniu Lud Izraela został wybawiony przez Boga z opersji Faraona. Jest to dzień przejścia przez Morze Czerwone. Według tradycji, Mojżesz i - postępując za nim - Żydzi pościli tego dnia w celu upamiętnienia tego cudu.

Today is the tenth day of the month of Muharram, knows as Ashura. On this day the People of Israel were saved by God from the Pharaoh's oppression. It is the day of the crossing of the Red Sea. According to the tradition Moses and after him Jews used to fast on this day to commemorate this miracle.
A lot of Muslims also fast on this day following the tradition of Prophet Muhammad.

Let's pray today for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to cease, so that all three monotheistic religions could live in peace.
