Fact #1 - Ramadan in the name of a month.
W Islamie obowiązuje kalendarz lunarny (księżycowy), więc miesiąc trwa mniej więcej 28 dni, długość roku różni się od kalendarza solarnego o ok 11-12 dni.
Początek i koniec każdego miesiąca, także Ramadanu, uzależniony jest od fazy książyca.
-> Dlatego muzułmanie czekają na potwierdzenie z ich lokalnego meczetu co do pierwszego dnia postu.
-> Dlatego też Ramadan jest przechodni.
-> Dlatego też nie możemy na początku Ramadanu określić kiedy dokładnie skończy się nasz post.
